Romeo Beckham, the second child of power couple David and Victoria, has penned a sweet tribute to his little sister Harper, labelling her “the most amazing human”.
The 22-year-old has become embroiled in the family rift in recent months, with older brother Brooklyn seemingly distancing himself from the rest of the family.
The past few weeks have seen rumours flood in regarding the changing family dynamics, with the once close-knit clan understood to be out of contact with Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, 30.
For months, first-born Beckham has failed to attend any family celebrations and hasn’t marked any milestones with social media tributes, despite sharing Instagram birthday posts for Peltz’s family.
Speculation intensified when it became more apparent Brooklyn’s social media activity could be pointed, as Brooklyn also failed to respond to or acknowledge any posts his parents had included him in.
Rumours have suggested Peltz is at the centre of the rift, but the exact cause for the halt in communication is unknown.
Thursday, July 10, marks youngest child Harper’s birthday, with the teenager’s 14th having raised questioned in recent days about whether or not her oldest brother would break his silence towards the family to wish her a happy birthday.
Second-born Romeo got his sweet tribute posted early, sharing a wholesome picture of himself with a protective arm around Harper and writing: “Happy 14th to the most amazing human there is love you always and forever,” along with two heart emojis.
While brothers Romeo and Cruz have shared cryptic social media posts with apparent digs aimed at their brother, Harper seems more removed from the feud as she doesn’t yet use social media.
Fans have wondered whether or not Brooklyn would shared a birthday message to the teenager despite seemingly ignoring other family celebrations.
Currently, Brooklyn has maintained his silence towards the family despite the special occasion.
A source recently claimed that Brooklyn “doesn’t feel like he fits into the Beckham family right now” and believes his family haven’t treated Nicola well.
“Harper’s been particularly affected by what’s going on because she’s always been really close to Brooklyn,” they told The Mirror.
They added that the family had hoped Nicola would become “like a big sister to Harper in a house full of brothers” when she married Brooklyn, but “obviously that hasn’t happened”.
The source suggested it would be “potentially going to be heartbreaking for Harper if Brooklyn doesn’t show up for her on her birthday”.
They explained that whilst the fallout is primarily between Brooklyn and his parents, his younger siblings have “sadly become collateral damage” in the ongoing dispute.
Brooklyn’s social media activity has seemingly demonstrated where his loyalties lie, with sources noting it’s “becoming increasingly obvious” his priorities are with his wife and her family.
With reports swirling about the lack of apparent acknowledgement from Brooklyn towards his family, the aspiring chef still opted to post gushing tributes to both his wife and his father-in-law on his 83rd birthday, which sparked outrage from fans.
Many labelled him “cruel” for the obvious snub of his own relatives.
