Peter Andre shares concerns over daughter Princess, 17, with three-word admission following speculation

Peter Andre has highlighted fears over his teenage daughter Princess, whom he shares with ex Katie Price.

Andre, 52, has described the possibility of Princess, 17, entering reality dating show Love Island as “every dad’s nightmare”.

“There’s been a lot of talk about Princess going on Love Island, and I don’t know where it came from,” the Mysterious Girl hit-maker penned.

The father-of-three continued in the piece: “She’s not 18 yet, so it’s not even an option.”

Despite his concerns, he added: “Whether she chooses to do it in the future is up to her, but of course it’s every dad’s nightmare.

“Then again, I look at people like Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, and others, and see how happy they were in their relationships that came from the show.”

Speaking in his OK! column, the former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star went on: “It’s about what makes Princess happy at the end of the day. I wouldn’t stop her, but if she asks my opinion, I’ll be honest.”

His view on the situation is at odds with ex-wife Price, who said she has encouraged her daughter to sign up for the popular reality show.

In a recent episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show, the former glamour model, 47, explained she had urged Princess to take part in the series.

However, she went on to say Princess declared she doesn’t want to be known as “a Love Islander”.

“Love Island starts soon. I keep saying to Princess ‘Why don’t you do Love Island?'” she recalled.

Price went on to share with her sister, who was on the podcast at the time, that her daughter had disagreed with the idea.

She also shared how her daughter hopes to be a TV presenter and would rather host Love Island than take part as a contestant.

The mother-of-five recounted the conversation and noted Princess has stated: “No… because otherwise I’ll be known as a Love Islander.

“I’d love to be a TV presenter. I’d love to host something like Love Island. I wouldn’t want to take part in the show as a contestant, but I’d love to be as good a host as Maya Jama.”

Speaking last year, the teenager told OK! that she’d love to follow in her parents’ footsteps by going on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity, but only if her older brother Junior joined her.

“We’d have to do it together but that would be fun. I’d be terrified, but that would be so iconic,” she told the publication.

Last month, Princess was forced to set the record straight as she responded to social media critics. It came after she shared an Instagram post which featured her alongside her Audi with what appeared to be a personalised number plate reading “PRINCESS”.
