Brooklyn Beckham’s wife Nicola Peltz faces furious backlash amid feud rumours: ‘Why do you hate your in-laws?’

Nicola Peltz is facing a wave of online criticism after she and husband Brooklyn Beckham missed David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations.

The actress and model has been trolled on social media, with fans questioning her relationship with her in-laws.

The backlash comes after the couple’s absence from both David’s star-studded London party and a family trip to the Scottish Highlands.

Sources suggest the couple cancelled at short notice, fuelling speculation about tensions within the Beckham family.

Fans have been leaving critical comments on Nicola’s recent Instagram post advertising sunscreen.

“You should have gone to your father in laws bday party. It’s rude of you to not attend and cause an issue. You’re being petty and your insecurity shows,” wrote one follower.

Another questioned: “Why don’t you like your in-laws? Don’t you go to any of their events?”

A third commenter added: “You should both be ashamed – his father has just turned 50! Shocking.”

“Don’t put a wedge between your husband & his father,” another wrote, with one more adding: “I wouldn’t choose this week to upload you are asking for negative comments.”

However, some have jumped to Peltz’s defence, with one hitting back: “[It’s] nothing to do with you,” and another sharing: “It’s so sad that there are mean comments about Brooklyn and his family under every photo, and every time Nicola is attacked.

“The same assumption is always made, but no one knows the truth.” (sic)

The criticism comes amid growing speculation about a rift between Nicola and the Beckham family.

According to The Sun, the couple had intended to attend the celebrations but cancelled at the last minute.

Sources claim Brooklyn felt uncomfortable that his ex, Kim Turnbull, who is now dating his brother Romeo, would be present.

However, the blame is reportedly being directed at Nicola, which has upset Brooklyn.

“She has never told him what to do and has been nothing but supportive — she’s a loyal wife,” a source told The Sun.

The couple also missed an intimate family gathering at the Beckhams’ Cotswolds mansion last Wednesday.

David seemingly extended an olive branch to his eldest son by sharing a heartfelt message alongside photos from his 50th birthday trip to the Scottish Highlands.

“You were missed Brooklyn,” he wrote, tagging his son in a photo showing him with Romeo and Cruz.

The former England captain revealed the trip had been planned for six months.

“Six months ago planned a trip with my boys at the start of last week to camp and fish for my 50th,” he wrote on Instagram. “Was so much fun.”

Brooklyn had reportedly been invited to join the Highland trip months in advance.

Brooklyn, 26, who lives in the US with Nicola, was also absent from the Met Gala in New York despite earlier expectations they would attend.

“They cancelled plans to attend the Met because they really intended to be at David’s party on Saturday,” a source told The Sun.

A source close to Brooklyn told The Sun he had suggested meeting his family for breakfast or coffee.

But he was allegedly told the only opportunity would be at parties where Kim would be present.

“As far as he sees it, his parents have chosen Romeo and his new girlfriend over him,” said the source.

The Beckham family has maintained a dignified silence amid the rumoured tensions. Brooklyn didn’t publicly acknowledge his father’s milestone birthday on social media.

Eagle-eyed fans have pointed out several social media “snubs” in recent months.

The couple reportedly didn’t acknowledge Victoria Beckham’s recent birthday either.

A source close to the Beckhams told The Sun the situation “feels very performative”.

“Brooklyn sent a text message but it felt like box-ticking, knowing they would be asked about it,” the source added.
