Stacey Solomon admitted she had been left “disappointed” in her oldest son, Zachary, in the latest episode of her fly-on-the-wall series, Stacey and Joe.
The BBC documentary gives fans an insight into the lives of Solomon, 35 and husband Joe Swash, 43, as they manage their chaotic home life and careers.
The latest episode, which aired on Tuesday, saw the family-of-seven preparing for Christmas, a popular time of year in the household.
It was also a hectic time for both, with Solomon having to make several TV appearances and Swash kept busy with his pantomime gig.
During the episode, Solomon was filmed taking a phone call from her oldest son, Zachary, 17.
“You alright, mum? I kind of made an impulse decision,” the teenager could be heard explaining to his mother on the phone, at which point she responded: “Zach…”
“I… I got one of my ears pierced,” he confessed, prompting a concerned Solomon to reply: “I hope you went to a proper place, Zach.”
“Of course I went to a proper place! I’m not an idiot,” Zachary hit back before Solomon probed: “What was it called?”

“It was like, www.piercings… It’s an online thing. Do you not once remember me telling you that I wanted to get my ears pierced?” Zachary asked.
“Yeah, but I mean, when you say these things, I think, ‘Yeah, let’s talk through it. If you’re going, let me take you. Let me find the right place,'” Solomon reflected.
She added: “And then, all of a sudden, you’ve hopped off a bus and gone to www.piercings.com!”
“It’s literally a piercing! It’s not like I’m getting a tattoo,” the youngster argued.
Speaking candidly to the cameras after, the mother-of-five admitted: “Well, I know that Zach had been considering getting an ear piercing, but we’d never had the conversation that he would actually get it done.
“Because I just assumed, if he wanted it done we’d find somewhere proper.
“But then he rings me up on a random Tuesday afternoon and he’s like, ‘Oh, by the way, I’ve got my ear pierced.’ I was cool, but I was disappointed. Oh God, now I really do sound like my dad.”
“Oh God Zach, send me a picture,” Solomon demanded during the phone call, before admitting: “Oh, it looks cute.
“You look really handsome, Zachary. As long as you like it and you look after it…”
“I didn’t know if you were going to tell me off or not – that’s all,” Zachary shared.
It is understood Solomon now “regrets” the BBC series, which was filmed throughout 2024.
A source explained: “Stacey is regretting signing up to do the show. She’s not used to the backlash they are getting as everything she touches normally turns to gold.”
Speaking to The Sun, they continued: “She feels like she is coming across as bossy. He can’t manage anything without her, so she is forced to be the ‘grown up’. It’s caused friction.”
GB News has contacted Solomon’s representatives over the claims.
