Amanda Owen has revealed her strict parenting approach in a new teaser for the upcoming second series of Our Farm Next Door
The Yorkshire shepherdess has lifted the lid on her tough rules for her children, which include no television and no computer games.
In the clip, Owen explains that her children spend their time off school in the great outdoors rather than in front of screens.
Her unconventional parenting style focuses on encouraging her nine children to engage with nature and farm life instead of modern technology.
The series follows the Owen family as they continue their rural lifestyle whilst renovating their new home.
“There’s no TV on, there’s no computer games, they are all doing stuff. In fact, most of the time I don’t even know where I have ’em,” Owen remarked in the teaser.

The scenes show her children playing and helping around the farm, fully immersed in outdoor activities.
Despite some of the older children having moved out, the show is expected to feature all nine of Owen’s children: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine and Nancy.
The children often visit and help their parents on the farm, with the shepherdess sharing that the Easter break had been “action-packed” with lambing season coinciding with school holidays.
Fans have been quick to praise Owen’s rural parenting approach in the comments section of her teaser.
“Your children are having a wonderful childhood. They don’t realise it yet, but they will remember how amazing it was and will be so grateful for it,” one supporter wrote.
Another added: “Gorgeous family who have the best life in the wonderful, great outdoors! Can’t wait to watch the new series.”
In a recent post to her 533,000 followers, Owen admitted feeling “exhausted” after the busy Easter period and penned: “It has been good, really good, exhausting but productive.”
The children also enjoyed an outdoor Easter egg hunt, which Owen documented on social media.
The family have been busy renovating their new home near Ravenseat since 2020, named Anty Johns and was purchased as a derelict farmhouse with a caved-in roof.
They have lovingly restored the Grade II listed building, even installing electricity for the first time in the property’s history.
Despite Owen and ex-husband Clive Owen’s separation in 2022, the former couple continue to present a united front.
They appear to be successfully co-parenting their children whilst managing both the farm and renovation challenges.
