Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash clash during tense therapy scenes as series highlights couple’s struggles

Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash are set to reveal their relationship struggles in an upcoming therapy session on their BBC reality series, Stacey and Joe.

The couple will be shown in tense scenes during next week’s episode, where tensions rise between the pair as they attend therapy together.

The reality show has already given viewers insight into their daily lives at their home, Pickle Cottage and has previously captured arguments between them, with more difficult conversations to come.

During the therapy session, Loose Women star Solomon tells her husband: “You fail to recognise anything that I’m saying to you,” leaving the former EastEnders star to respond: “I’ve heard nothing but negative stuff.”

The exchange reveals underlying tensions in their relationship that have become visible to viewers, and the couple’s decision to attend therapy together marks a significant moment in their reality series.

Cameras have captured the raw and unfiltered nature of their conversations as they work through their issues.

In the latest episode, Swash also discussed the therapy with his sisters Shana and Casie, revealing that he wasn’t “overly keen” on the idea of therapy, telling them: “I told you I was going to do it.”

“It’s just, I’m not looking forward to that bit, you know what I mean?”

Despite his reservations, Swash showed commitment to the process, adding: “I’m on the journey now, so I just need to stick to it. And hopefully see some changes, you know what I mean?”

Whilst the couple have been keen to show their life as a family of seven, it has also highlighted the struggles they go through, as one episode saw the couple have a furious row after clashing over their children eating on the sofa.

The argument occurred over FaceTime while Swash was away for work, with Solomon being unimpressed after discovering “10 baked beans” on their sofa, insisting she’d never let the kids eat there.

The soap star retorted: “I’m not you. You go on like you’ve never given the kids food in the front room, which would be a lie.”

Unimpressed with his response, she hit back: “I might give them a biscuit on the sofa!”

Swash told Solomon she was “overreacting” and added: “You’re out of order,” before abruptly ending the call.

Ahead of the first episode of their BBC reality show, Solonon confessed viewers would see “domestics” between her and Swash, noting on The One Show: “We’re quite a busy household, we’re seven just us and then my sister is always over, Joe’s family are always over.”

“You don’t notice, to the point where we would have a bit of a domestic about something and then be like ‘they’re here… stop the mics are still on, stop’.

“We’d look at each other and be like ‘oh no, they can hear us’,” she admitted.

The couple have been open about showing the authentic side of their relationship on camera despite receiving backlash from viewers.
