Penny Lancaster fans amazed by Rod Stewart’s ‘double’ as the star shares rare photo of son: ‘Special’

Penny Lancaster has shared a sweet photo of herself with her youngest son, Aiden, 14 – who is the spitting image of her rocker father, Rod Stewart.

While the family now reside in Essex after moving from LA, Lancaster, 54, still enjoys a trip to the California city she used to live.

The Loose Women panelist shared on her Instagram this weekend that she was enjoying a “special” occasion with teenager Aiden.

Spending some quality time together before their holiday in the sunny city came to an end, she shared the photo with fans, writing: “Special night out with my youngest Aiden with our last few days in LA.”

Aiden was dressed in all white, while Mrs Lancaster stunned in black leather trousers, a lace top and studded black shoes.

Fans couldn’t help but point out the youngster’s similarities to his dad, 80-year-old Maggie Mae hit-maker Mr Stewart.

Fans all seemed to be in agreement in the comments section that the teenager was his father’s “double”.

One wrote: “Great pic… Looks like Rod,” while another simply penned: “little Rod.”

“What a lovely date! Aiden looks so grown up and so much like Dad!” someone else agreed.

Another shared: “I think, out of all the boys, Aiden looks the most like Rod!! What a cutie!!”

“Aiden is double of his Dad. Super cute photo,” yet another remarked.

Another Instagram user posted: “Your son is so handsome and looks like a younger version of his Dad. You have raised 2 fine young men who obviously love their mom!”

“Beautiful photograph. What a gorgeous boy & so like his Dad,” another enthused.

One even suggested: “They should do Rod’s life story movie and have your son be young Rod! You both look terrific!” (sic)

The wholesome update comes soon after Mrs Lancaster issued a heartbreaking tribute to a New York City Police Department officer who was killed in a tragic shooting.

Mrs Lancaster, who has been volunteering as a special constable in London since 2021, penned on her social media Story last month: “Our hearts go out to those victims who lost their lives to a shooter in New York City, including an NYPD police officer.”

The tribute came after five people were killed in the attack on 345 Park Avenue, including New York City police officer Didarul Islam, 36, who was operating as building security.
