Katie Price breaks silence with cryptic statement following Peter Andre’s furious accusation of ‘repeated lies’

Katie Price has issued a lengthy Instagram statement following her ex-husband Peter Andre’s explosive accusations, describing herself as a “sinner” whilst suggesting certain “saints” are not genuine.

The 47-year-old former glamour model posted the cryptic message on Friday evening, approximately 24 hours after Mr Andre claimed she had spread “repeated lies” about him over 16 years.

In her statement, Ms Price acknowledged her flaws, writing: “I know I will always be seen as a Sinner. That’s fair, I allowed myself to fall into a reliance on drugs and alcohol.”

She then appeared to take aim at unnamed individuals, stating: “Some Saints are fake.

“They play the victim and to succeed in life they need a villain…or at least a Sinner. Without the Sinner they don’t get to be the Saint.”

Ms Price candidly acknowledged her past failings, confessing she had “not been the mother I should have been” whilst battling mental health difficulties.

The mother-of-five admitted to being “a poor friend, an awful sibling, and an untrustworthy partner” during her struggles.

She revealed she had “self-medicated, been unfaithful, damaged myself and those that I love” but insisted she didn’t want to make excuses despite experiencing sexual abuse in her youth and coercive relationships.

Ms Price disclosed she had “pulled myself out of a suicidal spiral because I love my children and want to be there for them.”

She concluded this portion of her statement by acknowledging: “I don’t pretend to be perfect by any means – but I’m trying to be the best I can.”

The tension between the former couple escalated this week following the launch of their daughter Princess’s ITV2 reality series.

Mr Andre, 52, broke his silence on Thursday with a statement addressing what he called Ms Price’s “baseless lies over the last 16 years” and her recent “comments about my children’s welfare and living arrangements.”

The singer revealed that their children Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, came into his care in 2018 “for well-documented reasons, and for their safety” and remained with him until adulthood.

He disclosed that a legally binding court order was issued in 2019 to enforce this arrangement, information he had never previously made public “out of respect for my children.”

The couple divorced in 2009 after four years of marriage.

Ms Price’s statement contained pointed remarks about individuals she characterised as maintaining false personas, writing: “They have a carefully managed image which must be exhausting to maintain.”

Without naming Mr Andre directly, she expressed frustration with these unnamed “Saints,” stating: “As a Sinner – I sometimes get bored of these Saints.

“But maybe I should feel sorry for them, It must be such hard work having to pretend all the time.”

She concluded her post with encouragement for others facing difficulties: “Anyway, all you Sinners keep your heads up and keep trying to be better. All you Saints, it’s ok not to be perfect.”

A spokesperson for Price told media outlets that she is “at peace with the situation” and the matter is now with her legal representatives.
