Victoria Beckham delivers new olive branch as she supports Brooklyn amid backlash to son’s ‘disgusting’ post

Victoria Beckham seems to have offered another olive branch to estranged son Brooklyn after he faced backlash for an unusual cooking method.

The aspiring chef, 26, has been allegedly feuding with parents Victoria and David as well as his younger brothers Romeo and Cruz.

For months, the apparent rift has been making headlines, with the oldest Beckham child snubbing his family and ignoring milestones while celebrating those of his wife Nicola Peltz’s family.

Notably, Brooklyn and his parents have avoided interacting with each other’s Instagram posts, but an update from Brooklyn on Monday sparked somewhat of a backlash from followers, while his mother displayed a show of support.

The post was another cooking video, suggesting Brookyln is still interested in pursuing a career as a chef.

While holidaying on a luxury yacht, he filmed a new clip of himself preparing a dish. Captioning the video “tomato pasta,” the clip soon prompted criticism.

He began by explaining: “Today I am going to make some tomato pasta… Of course, we get some pasta water.”

His next move proved to be controversial as he opted to scoop a pot of water from the ocean to use for cooking.

The clip went on to show Brooklyn preparing the meal before showing the finished product.

Some were left horrified by the use of ocean water, though, with many expressing their concerns in the comments section.

“When you are sat on the toilet for the 4th time in 30 minutes you will realise that the source where you got the water from wasn’t the wisest of moves,” one shared.

A second wrote: “That’s disgusting using that water,” with a third adding: “Why water of Sea??? It’s dangerous.”

“Obviously, cooking pasta in seawater where there are boats that dump diesel into the sea and E.coli abounds is not really the best alternative you could have chosen,” another critiqued.

“It’s crazy to take water from the sea so the boats can sail. I think there’s always some leftover fuel in there, regardless of whether he boils it or not. I would have preferred to take the water from the tank. Hope you enjoyed it,” someone else added.

However, many pointed out that boiling the water would make is safe to use, with another writing: “What’s crazy is that you don’t know that boiled water doesn’t contain bacteria! That’s why you boil water!!!” (sic)

Former Spice Girl Victoria was among those who liked the post, providing an olive branch amid the rift between the family members.

It’s not the first time the power couple parents seem to have reached out to Brooklyn, with both David and Victoria including him in posts about the family.

Football legend David tagged Brooklyn’s Instagram in a post he shared on Father’s Day, despite receiving no public acknowledgement from his son.
