David Beckham, 50, brands daughter Harper ‘kind and beautiful’ in heartwarming birthday message as he joins family tributes

David Beckham took to social media just minutes after his son, Brooklyn, to wish his daughter Harper a happy 14th birthday.

Brooklyn made a rare gesture towards his direct family amid an ongoing rift with his parents to wish his sister a happy birthday. The 26-year-old shared a photograph on his Instagram Stories featuring himself in a tuxedo alongside wife Nicola Peltz and Harper, who wore a pale pink dress.

“Happy birthday harper we love u x,” Brooklyn wrote on the upload, tagging his wife. Nicola, 30, subsequently reshared the post on her own Story.

The birthday message comes after widespread speculation that Brooklyn might not publicly acknowledge his youngest sibling’s special day, given recent tensions within the Beckham family.

Shortly after his eldest son reached out, Sir David took to the social media site with a tribute of his own.

The former Man United winger posted a series of snaps of his daughter over the years. “Happy Birthday to Daddy’s Pretty Lady To the most special precious young lady who is kind & beautiful inside and out,” he began.

“Thank you for making each day brighter for us all we love you Harpie have the best day ever Love Daddy #HarperSeven @victoriabeckham.” (sic)

Sir David’s statement prompted his mum and Harper’s grandmother, Sandra, who celebrated a birthday of her own recently, to also send her well wishes. “Happy birthday Harper have a fun day love you lots xx,” Sandra penned.

Elsewhere, Victoria Beckham marked Harper’s 14th birthday with an extensive Instagram tribute featuring throwback photographs and videos.

The fashion designer, 51, shared images including Harper as a toddler, on a motorbike with father David, and writing “I love mummy and daddy” in beach sand.

“Happy birthday to my world!! You are my everything and I’m so proud of the strong, confident, kind and talented young lady you are becoming,” Victoria wrote. “You’re my best friend and I’m so lucky I get to be your mummy. We love you so so much #HarperSeven!!”

The tribute included videos of Harper singing Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” and playing the flute.

The birthday post marks Brooklyn’s first public interaction with his family since paying tribute to his grandmother Sandra on June 26, having remained silent during father David’s 50th birthday celebrations earlier that month.

Neither Brooklyn nor Nicola acknowledged David’s milestone birthday on May 8 or attended any of his celebrations, including a boys’ fishing trip and parties at the family’s Cotswolds home.

Sources close to the family expressed concerns that Brooklyn and Nicola had also distanced themselves from Harper after failing to visit her when they flew into London in May to film an advert just over a mile from the family home in Holland Park.

Romeo Beckham, 22, was the first sibling to send birthday wishes, sharing a photograph of himself with Harper at an event. “Happy 14th to the most amazing human there is, love you always and forever,” he wrote.

Cruz Beckham’s girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, 29, preceded the siblings by posting a yacht photograph with Harper, writing: “Happy 14th birthday beautiful girl!” She also shared an image from Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week show in September.

Brooklyn and Harper were reportedly “inseparable” before the family tensions, with Brooklyn having been 12 when his youngest sibling was born.
