Soccer Aid returned on Sunday night with its signature mix of sport and philanthropy, raising money for Unicef. However, it was host Alex Scott who captured viewers’ attention long before kick-off.
The 40-year-old sports presenter and former professional footballer wowed audiences with her bold outfit choice, prompting a wave of reactions on social media.
Alex stepped out in a striking brown leather dress by Antonia Bronze Couture, complete with a thigh-high split and adorned with sporty patches – including the number two and her surname “Scott” stitched just above the back.
The dress also featured a cheeky hidden label that read, “What do we think of Tottenham?” – a playful nod to her Arsenal roots.
Co-hosting the evening alongside Dermot O’Leary, Scott drew a flurry of comments online, with fans divided over her daring fashion statement.
“Alex Scott in that dress is stunning,” gushed one fan on X, while another praised, “Appreciation post for Alex Scott’s outfit… absolutely stunning!!”
Others, however, were more critical. “Alex Scott’s outfit not that appropriate lol but who am I to judge,” wrote one viewer.
Another said, “Alex Scott looks a little overdressed for the occasion,” while someone else quipped, “Alex Scott cannot even move her limbs in that outfit she’s wearing.” (sic)

Soccer Aid returned to screens on Sunday night, once again bringing together celebrities and former professional footballers for a friendly but competitive England and World XI showdown – all in support of a great cause.
Founded by Robbie Williams in 2006 and originally co-hosted with Jonathan Wilkes, the annual charity match has become a much-loved staple for fans across the UK.
Each year, it raises vital funds for UNICEF UK, combining entertainment with philanthropy. This year’s event was no exception.
Appearing alongside hosts O’Leary and Scott, founder Williams proudly announced that an incredible £15,280,163 had been raised for UNICEF during the match.
After thanking the generous viewers at home, the World XI team lifted the trophy in celebration on the Old Trafford pitch, proudly wearing their medals after another memorable Soccer Aid victory.
If Scott sticks to the promise she made during Sunday night’s match, she could be on the pitch next year, not just beside it.
The 40-year-old revealed she plans to play in next year’s Soccer Aid.
Her personalised dress was first spotted in the England dressing room, just as co-manager Tyson Fury delivered an expletive-filled pep talk to the team.
