Former This Morning editor Martin Frizell has paid an emotional tribute to two guests believed to have died in today’s Air India crash.
Fiongal Greenlaw, 39, and his spouse Jamie Meek, 45, are feared to have been aboard the ill-fated flight to London’s Gatwick Airport.
The couple, who co-founded a wellness brand together, were reportedly returning from a holiday in India when tragedy struck.
Frizell, 66, who stepped down from his role at the ITV programme earlier this year, shared his grief on Instagram this afternoon.
He posted a photograph of Greenlaw with presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley at the This Morning studio.
The former editor remembered Greenlaw fondly from his January appearance on the show, praising his energy and passion during the broadcast.
The couple had jointly launched the Wellness Foundry, which gained prominence through This Morning.
Greenlaw first appeared on the programme in January, offering aura readings to hosts Shephard and Deeley whilst Frizell was still editor.
Following his initial visit, the Wellness Foundry’s Instagram account described it as “the biggest gig so far”, noting that whilst Greenlaw found the experience nerve-wracking, he was honoured to discuss “one of his favourite topics to such a big audience”.
The spiritual advisor returned to the show in April after Frizell’s departure. During this second appearance, he joined Shephard, Deeley and Josie Gibson in the London studio.
The wellness brand had thanked the This Morning team on social media for “being so amazing and guiding me through”, whilst expressing gratitude to the presenters for their kindness and welcome.
In his Instagram tribute, Frizell wrote: “So so sad to hear that Fiongal Greenlaw Meek and his partner are reported to be among the passengers and crew killed today on board the Air India flight bound for Gatwick.”
He reflected on Greenlaw’s memorable studio visit: “I remember his visit to the studio in January, he was passionate about auras and although I’m a sceptical sort his vibrancy and sheer enthusiasm won folk over.”
The former editor acknowledged Greenlaw’s ambitions for his business venture. “And I know for a fact that he hoped to use his appearance on This Morning to build his Wellness brand, he had a great future ahead of him,” Frizell wrote.
He concluded his tribute: “Thoughts are with his family and friends and those of his partner Jamie.”
Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid was amongst those who liked Frizell’s tribute post.

Lisa Snowdon, a regular contributor to This Morning, responded with a teary-eyed emoji and broken heart in the comments section.
The couple had shared a video from Ahmedabad airport moments before boarding the doomed flight.
In the footage, Greenlaw said: “We are at the airport just boarding. Goodbye India. Ten-hour flight back to England. What was your biggest takeaway Jamie?”
When Meek replied “I don’t know”, Greenlaw laughed and responded: “Thanks for your contribution.”
The clip showed the couple discussing their time in India, with Greenlaw teasing that his takeaway was “don’t lose your patience with your partner” after Meek mentioned being snapped at “for having chai”.
