Freddy Brazier ignores Jeff Brazier’s plea to stop seeing grandmother Jackiey Budden amid legal battle

Freddy Brazier has defied his father Jeff’s legal action by posting a TikTok dance video with his grandmother Jackiey Budden, despite ongoing court proceedings aimed at blocking contact between them.

The 20-year-old shared footage of himself dancing with Jackiey in her garden, captioning the post with hashtags including “#fyp #explore #freddybrazier #jackieybudden #dancetrend.”

The video shows Freddy shirtless in shorts whilst Jackiey, 67, wears black and white shorts with a yellow top as they perform a dance trend together. Jeff Brazier has taken legal action against Jackiey for his son’s wellbeing, seeking to restrict contact between the pair.

Followers responded supportively to the post, with one commenting: “She’ll make you feel like you have a piece of your mum,” whilst another added: “There’s just something about a Nana that bond is important.”

Freddy has reportedly been living with his grandmother Jackiey for the past week at her Bermondsey flat, according to The Mail, which directly contradicts his father’s legal efforts to keep the pair separated through court proceedings.

A source told the publication: “Jeff was never going to keep Freddy away from his Nanny for very long – they’ve always had a strong bond. Jeff may hate her for all sorts of reasons going back many years, but Freddy loves her very much.”

“They had a great time together, playing with her dog and catching up at her flat – where he has often stayed over the years. Whatever Jeff hoped to achieve with his legal efforts, it hasn’t worked.”

Freddy was just four years old when his mother, Jade Goody, died from cervical cancer in 2009, with his brother Bobby aged five at the time.

Sources close to the family explained that whilst Jeff may harbour resentment towards Jackiey “for all sorts of reasons going back many years,” Freddy’s love for his grandmother remains unwavering.

The 20-year-old has frequently stayed at Jackiey’s flat over the years, making their current living arrangement a continuation of their established relationship.

The legal efforts have sparked what has been described as a “vicious war of words” between Jeff and Jackiey, with a court date now set for the ongoing battle.

The pair were spotted smoking suspicious cigarettes near Tower Bridge in South London, in full view of tourists passing by. Onlookers reported an “aromatic smell in the air” and claimed “it didn’t seem to be normal tobacco they were smoking.”

Witnesses described Jackiey as “acting erratically” during the public outing, with one observer noting: “The pair were puffing away in the open, in full view of tourists passing by and there was an aromatic smell in the air.”

Freddy cut a casual figure in a burgundy top and beige shorts, whilst Jackiey wore joggers rolled up to her knees and sported bandages on her hands.

When questioned about the incident, Jackiey defended their behaviour, stating: “As long as Freddy smokes with me he’s safe. At least I know what he’s smoking, as it’s nasty out there.”

Freddy has posted a series of Instagram photos captioned “home is where the heart is” in what appears to be a direct swipe at his father Jeff. The picture dump includes an image of himself with Jackiey that was originally taken during their smoking incident near the Thames.

Other photos in the Instagram collection show Freddy lying in a garden whilst wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with “I’m so tired of this sh*t.” The defiant caption and imagery suggest Freddy is making a clear statement about where he considers his true home to be.

The Instagram post comes amid rising tensions between Freddy and his TV presenter father, with the 20-year-old’s public display of allegiance to his grandmother likely to further inflame the ongoing family dispute.

Jackiey has dismissed Jeff’s legal action as “nonsense” and insisted she will continue seeing her grandson regardless of court proceedings. Speaking from outside her Bermondsey flat, she said: “This is all nonsense – seriously. I’m serious. Freddie has been here this morning. He’s just left. He will come back. I’m still going to be seeing him.”

She revealed she only discovered the legal action through newspaper reports, telling The Mail: “I only found out about this court business when he told the newspapers about it – he didn’t even tell me himself.”

Jackiey defended their relationship, arguing that Freddy is “20 years old now and he has to be allowed to make his own decisions.”
