Magician Harry Moulding has been crowned the winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2025, sparking a wave of frustration among viewers online.
The Grand Final, broadcast live from Hammersmith Apollo in London, saw all four judges return to offer feedback, with Ant and Dec hosting the show.
The series came to an exciting close, where the winner took home a £250,000 cash prize and the chance to perform at the prestigious Royal Variety Performance.
In last weekend’s semi-final, Harry earned guest judge KSI’s coveted Golden Buzzer, while runner-up Binita Chetry secured her place through the public vote.
The Grand Final featured 11 acts performing in a bid to win over the audience at home.
Once all the acts had taken to the stage, Ant and Dec revealed the top three as voted by the public: LED dance troupe The Blackouts, magician Harry Moulding, and gymnastics prodigy Binita Chetry.
Binita was announced in third place, with the beaming nine year old saying: “I’m very happy and proud of myself, it’s the best experience.”
The tension peaked as Harry was named the winner, leaving The Blackouts in second place.
A stunned Harry, momentarily lost for words, struggled to take in the news, while Ant offered his sympathies to The Blackouts.

He said: “Commiserations to The Blackouts. Can I just say a huge thank you for coming to the UK to audition for Britain’s Got Talent.”
A member of The Blackouts replied: “Thank you so much, we feel so grateful for this journey. Thank you so much, and congratulations, Harry. Well deserved.”
Dec then turned to Harry, asking for his reaction.
The overwhelmed winner said: “I can’t believe what is going on. Thank you everyone so, so much. I genuinely feel like everyone has been behind me. This has been the most incredible journey, I can’t believe that I’m here. Thank you.”
However, the result has divided fans, with many taking to social media platform X to express their anger over the magician’s win.
One fuming fan wrote: “All planned tricks, not talent”, while another added “He was so bad. So boring, the exact same as every other magician. Blackouts robbed.”
A third complained: “The fake magician won! What a waste of time watching BGT. So fixed! RIP not wasting my precious time on such s*** programs anymore!”
A fourth fan chimed in: “Terrible! It was all pretty planned all the videos he did weren’t clever or magic at all! Blackouts should’ve won easily, that’s real talent!”
A fifth person added: “Can’t quite believe that annoying ‘magician’ won the #BGT Final! How?! On stage way too long & relies on pre-recorded video! The spectacular Blackout were clearly most worthy winners! Child gymnast Binita superb! Glad I didn’t watch much of this series. What a fix!”
However, there were also some positive voices amid the backlash.
One fan praised Harry, writing: “I’m so pleased for this guy, he is what a great variety act should be and really likeable guy. I can see him presenting a show on TV, and we need more people on TV like him. Well done, Harry!!”
