Metallica have announced they will extend their record-breaking M72 World Tour into a fourth year with 16 shows across Europe and the UK in 2026.
The heavy metal legends will perform at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on June 19 and 21, before heading to Glasgow’s Hampden Park on June 25, Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on June 28, and concluding with two nights at London Stadium on July 3 and 5. The tour will continue the band’s No Repeat Weekend tradition in Dublin and London.
The Dublin shows will mark Metallica’s first appearance in Ireland since their sold-out Slane Castle concert in 2019. Prior to that, they played Dublin’s Marlay Park in 2009.
Two-night tickets for the Aviva Stadium concerts will cost from €121.25 to €261.25, subject to Ticketmaster charges. Tickets go on sale on Friday, 30 May at 10am.
Since opening in April 2023, the M72 tour has seen Metallica play to four million fans across the globe.
The Dublin shows will follow the No Repeat Weekend format, with each night featuring entirely different setlists and support lineups. Pantera and Avatar will provide support on June 19, while Gojira and Knocked Loose will be the special guests on June 21.
