“We are praying and hoping so hard that he pulls through & that we can care for him in the best way we possibly can to give him the best life he can have.
Solomon continued: “We are all truly devastated. He is the sweetest, most protective, loving dog. He’s our family. And far too young to be going through this.
“We love you Ted. So so much. Pickle cottage (the family’s Essex home) is far too quiet without you. I miss my toilet buddy. Peanut is so sad without his best friend,” she signed off with a black love heart emoji.
The Solomon family adopted Teddy in 2022 following the death of their previous dog, Theodore.
Teddy’s name was chosen as a special tribute, with Stacey explaining: “We called him Teddy because Teddy can be short for Theodore so we thought it was a special tribute to Theo.”
The cocker spaniel was six months old when he joined the household.
Stacey previously revealed that Teddy’s original breeder didn’t keep him because “he is nowhere near the size he should be for his breed.”
The two dogs had formed a close bond since Teddy was brought home to be a companion for Peanut.
